Sam Boshnack Quintet NW Shows

For these three upcoming northwest shows, the Sam Boshnack Quintet will perform a huge range of material. Music includes their debut record “Exploding Syndrome”, and two recent commissions: The Nellie Bly Project (music inspired by the 19^th century daredevil, feminist & journalist), and Free Flow Interchange, a new work originally commissioned by the Karin Stevens Dance Company in Seattle.

On Thursday December 11th, Boshnack will be collaborating with animator Stefan Gruber for this performance featuring three pairings of musicians and filmmakers presented by The Frank Agency.

Boshnack will premiere compositions for a duo with pianist Sumi Tunooka and herself written for animation by Stefan Gruber.  The duo will also perform a new Boshnack composition to which Gruber will create animation to.
